Pottery Breaks

Pottery breaks at Valley View are a great way to combine a relaxing break near the beautiful Jurassic Coast near Lyme Regis and to learn a new and fun skill.

 Throwing and Hand-building Pottery Courses

There is nothing more satisfying than creating something from a ball of clay, and turning it into something you can use everyday at home. The moment of seeing something that you made and the feeling of  “I made that”  is something that never gets old.

In our classes, we will teach you the properties of clay, walk you through the essential pottery tools and hand-building and throwing techniques.  This is aimed at all levels. This session is yours. You’re welcome to come along with ideas of things you’d like to create, or just freestyle on the day.

Private Workshop

• 3-hour session:  £65 per person;
• £10 per person per additional hour
• This includes the cost of materials along with the cost of firing and glazing up to 2 pieces per person.
• £3.50 per additional item you wish to fire.

Weekly Classes

Weekly classes are a great way to immerse yourself in the world of pottery. You will be able to spend 6 weeks creating pieces that will last forever. Throw pots on the wheel, or handbuild.

We have a range of glazes to use on your pieces afterwards – you can be as creative as you like.

• 6 weeks of 3 hour sessions
• £150pp with a 12.5kg bag of clay to get you started!

Should you choose to have any of your pieces glazed and fired, there is a tiny extra charge of a couple of pounds.

Pottery is such a relaxing and therapeutic time – you will lose hours whilst you create in a relaxed environment with like-minded creatives.
